The Silver Region in spring

The first flowers stretch their heads toward the sunrays. This is the time when nature wakes up from its winter sleep.

In the next month you won’t need your winter coat anymore. On the mountain top there is still a little bit of snow, but the valley is enjoyably warm. Spring has come and it has brought a gorgeous carpet of flowers. Everywhere you can observe and admire this natural show. The fruit trees and meadows blossom.Every year nature transforms into something new and shows amazing colours. If last year a meadow was yellow and full of dandelions it can happen that next spring it shines with lilac liverworts!
The fragrance and the splendour of such a landscape make our spirits wake up again and invite us to go out and to enjoy nature. Silver Region Karwendel offers a big variety of places to observe and experience this fantastic show with all your senses!

The hiking region of the Alps

You can hike pleasurably across gentle hills and expansive alpine grazing pastures, ramble expectantly through mysteriours forests and conquer a breathaking summit at a lively pace.

Discover new destinations
There is always a season for hiking in the Karwendel silver Region, since Nature shows itself from a different, fascinating side during every season. In the spring, resplendent carpets of gentian flowers colour the fields in the Karwendel region blue. In the summer, mountain peaks with breathtaking panoramas reward hikers for their efforts. In the autumn, the "burning colours of the larch forests" in the Tuxs Alpgs and the Ahornboden captivate the hikers.

The hiking specialists
The Karwendel Silver Region has focussed its attention to the needs and wishes of the hiker. Hotels, pensions and private room proprietors have joined together to form hikerfreindly enterprises. There hikers will receive special offers and services, such as free hiking maps and hiking guides. For refreshment en route there is a hiker´s snack, and those who need hiking sticks or a rucksack can borrow this free of charge at the hikerfriendly enterprises. The hosts will gladly help in the selection and planning of tours with their "insider knowledge".

Colourful Autumn

In autumn nature is particularly impressive. It plays together with the sun rays and let woods and trees sparkle with gorgeous colours.
You cannot miss an excursion to Ahornboden (Maple Plain) in Hinterriss or to Wolfsklamm (Wolf´s Gorge) in Stans.
Unforgettable emotions are guaranteed!
