 Nature and bird trail and Road of the 10 chapels in the surroundings of Schwaz
Birds trail - Schwaz:
This path begins at Freundsberg castle, above Schwaz. Here you will learn 35 local birds thanks to many descriptions and images along the route. And if you are attentive enough you will find out many described birds in the nature around you.
Duration: approx. 1.5 hours
Road of the 10 Chapels - Schwaz:
This route is 8 km long and a rarity for every keen hiker. The path begins at the silver mine in Schwaz and leads you along side roads and shadowy wood routes. The 10 chapels you encounter during your tour were in large part founded during the time of prosperity of the silver industry. For the miners that had to do the hardest jobs inside the mine these chapels were devotion and meditation places.
Duration: approx. 3 hours
Nature trail:
This nature trail begins at the “Pflanzengarten” (plants garden) and leads you to a round trip of 3 km back to the starting point. You'll learn a lot about local bushes, trees and similar plants. |
