The Fuggerhaus (Fuggers’ House)
Residence of the Fuggers, a traders’ family from Augsburg!
The Fuggerhaus was built in 1525. The Fuggers, a traders’ family from Augsburg, settled its residence in Schwaz. Here Anton Fugger used to manage his world-wide business company. Beneath the bay window a bronze brush (a work of artist Prof. Sepp Baumgartner from Schwaz) recalls the Fuggers'. Nowadays this house is the residence of the Tertiary School Sisters. |
