Active Winter
Active holiday in the Silver Region KarwendelOutdoor sports are healthy …so let’s go cross-country skiing, snow cruising, skiing, boarding, tobogganing, snow shoeing and hiking. To relax or to train at full speed, everyone can set his own rhythm.
The five stations of the “meditation path” are also accessible during the Winter from Terfens to Maria Larch. Another path takes you from the Laurentius church in Stans to the Tratzberg castle. Sunbathers love to walk on the high plateau from Vomperberg to Weerberg. The “paths of the silence” takes the hikers through the Schwaz Silver wood. A gently inclined path takes you from Rotholz to the 53 meters tall Notburga spruces, the tallest spruces in Tyrol, and to the Rottenburg ruin. A special insider tip is the “10 chapels path” that runs along the silver mine in Schwaz and the ten miners’ memorials. Numerous learning paths about birds and the life in the wood as well as the unique “Path of the senses” in the Hochpillberg area complete this net.
