Whether a leisurely family hike or a high alpine mountain tour – everyone will fijd the suitable adventure amongst the approximately 1,000 km of hiking trails in the Silver Region. Experienced hiking guides will show the most beautiful places to those who gladly explore the region´s special features in a group environment during the five free guided hikes every week.
Monday
9.00: Impressive Loassattel – Gamstein hike with a splendid view of the Alps; meeting place: Loassattel parking area; registration: tel. +43.5242.63209

Tuesday
9.00: Guided hike Bärenrast – Stallenalm, meeting place: Bärenrast parking area; registration: tel. +43.5242.63240
17.00: Challenging Nordic Walking tour in Schwaz/Pillberg; meeting place: Hotel Grafenast; registration: tel. +43.5242.63240
Wednesday
Excursion by bus to the natural monument “Großer Ahornboden”; the bus starts at 8.35 in Weer, 8.40 in Pill, 8.45 in Schwaz (Kellerjoch cable car), 8.50 in Vomp (Baumax), 8.55 in Stans, 9.00 Jenbach (VZ parking area). The bus trip proceeds past Achensee (lake) and the Silvenstein reservoir into the Karwendel Alpine Park through the Riss Valley. After a brief stop at the new information centre in Hinterriss, the journey proceeds to the end of the valley, where the “Großer Ahornboden” and the Eng alpine pastures are located. Immediately after arrival cou can ramble leisurely with our hiking guide to the Binsalm grazing area, or visit the Almdorf grazing village and the cheese-making facility. The bus returns t o the starting points at approx. 16.30. Registration is requested by Tuesday (16.00) at the tourism office: tel. +43.5242.63240
Thursday
9.00: Guided hike to Kellerjoch, meeting place: ticket window at the Kellerjoch cable car in Hochpillberg/Grafenast. The tour proceeds during operating hours with the Kellerjoch cable car up to Berggasthof Hecher, otherwise from Hochpillberg (cable car ascent not included); registration: tel. +43.5242.63240
Enjoyment and experience, relaxation and adventure – with the SILVERcard you will experience the Karwendel Silber Region in a very spezial way. The eventful SILBERcard programme guides you to hidden places, brings traditions closer to you and shows you Nature from a very special side. You can obtain the SILBERcard with your accommodations provider.
Monday
14:00: “Sound Traces” – every Monday! Interesting excursions in the region will be undertaken every week, such as: visiting castle ruins, excursion to a water reservoir, visiting an apiary or an excursion into the mountain tunnels. All information and registration: tel. +43.5242.73582

Visit to the Weißlahn Leisure Centre, Terfens: Enjoy a day while bathing, playing on the large family playground with beach volleyball court. NEW: Water experience world for children
Friday
15.00 – 18.00: Tour of the historic Rablhaus at Weerberg featuring sale of regional products in the farmer`s shop.
15.00 – 17.00: “Dialogue with Nature” at the Silver Forest Nursery in Schwaz. Who would not like to experience something of the mystique and magic of Nature? It`s possible in the Silver Forest! Join Armin in the search for its secrets, fell its magic, see what evokes such natural art. Armin will tell you about ancient peoples and their experiences with Nature. 16.00: Pleasurable family bicycle tour through the Karwendel Silver Region; meeting place: Stans Tourism Office; registration: tel. +43.5242.6909-3830
Sunday
10.00 – 16.00: tour of Freundsberg Castle in Schwaz, featuring the historical course of the Silver City within the old fortress walls. A splendid view of the town unfurls from the tower; guided tour starts at 14.00.
